Sec. 1(a) only a female may marry a male. Only a male may marry a female.
(b) A marriage between persons of the same gender is void in Indiana even if the marriage is lawful in the place where it is solemnized. Indiana Code 31-11-1-1

First off
You can’t just pick one part of the bible to go by. Second off you have to have enough consideration to realize people being gay. I’m lesbian, yeah I shouldn’t go flaunt it and ask for trouble but I should be able to marry the women of my dreams. I’m not bias to one side or another, but if you’re going to go by the bible then you have to go by all of it. Also the whole ‘you should be able to marry dogs’ is a hypocritical thing to say, because the same gender is more alike then a men and a women, in fact if you’re going to say that you should be talking about straight couples because dogs are a lot different than humans.

And in the 50′s and 60′s interracial marriage was considered unnatural, and immoral. What another person does with a person they love in the privacy of their own home, is not for you to judge, and it is discrimination,and unconstitutional, the inalienable rights of all humans is Life, Liberty, and the right to pursuit of happiness. In the state of Indiana a person can marry their 2nd cousin, and you can marry your 1st cousin as long as you both are above the age of 65. At this very moment there are more states that allow you to have sex with a horse than there are to marry a human of the same sex.

Ryan, you are correct, however we should still love those who are gay but get them to read and believe what the bible says. Look at 1st Corinthians 6: 9-11. I will explain that to whoever needs it. The key word in that passage is "were" meaning that they once were like that but they repented. It goes on to say that they (who was once guilty of these sins) were washed, sanctified and justified. This means that once they repented they would be forgiven and the Kingdom of God was available to them. God bless all of you.

I am a life long Hoosier and love my home town. The only thing I want in this life is to marry the woman I love. I want to have the Same rights as men and women do when it comes to expressing thier love. To call my girlfriend my wife and for Indiana to recognize this would mean the world to us. Funny that you should mention that, through out Genesis it is frequently said to be okay to marry multiple women or marry your cousins. In dueteronomy it says women have to marry their rapist. In Leviticus it says its okay to take slaves so long as you provide them with basic needs such as food, water, clothing and shelter.

Way to go Indiana! I know that we are a very conservative state by nature, but I for one am proud of the stand we are making in our State's constitution against same-sex marriages. While I don't condemn or despise gays or lebians, I also don't think we need to give them a pat on the back for participating in something that is against God's law and counter-productive to the positive societial growth of our country!
Hopefully this will change one day. I don't want to have to tell people later in life that I grew up in a state full of anti-gay bigots who think anti-gay chicken is the best thing in the world.
