Honestly from the opinion of a Heterosexual Male, who is a Christian. I feel like I should let you all know that I support gay marriage with every fiber in my body. And although the Bible does say that God condemns sexual acts with the same sex. (Romans 1:26-27) I believe that it’s their decision to whether or not they want to be married. And saying “Oh, I don’t think it’s right because I’m a Christian.” Well what do you have to say about the divorce rate in the church. And honestly if you can’t even bring up a relevant verse to back yourself up, everything you say is just pure ignorance. But yeah. I love gay people, and growing up having a gay brother has really taught me about how amazing they are. I love you all. Keep fighting, cause I’ll be fighting with you!

As a women in south Carolina, asnwell as an athiest in a Christian household, I speak for all of the youth LGBTQ’s when i say “Gay Marriage” should be legalized. Proudly out, I am happy to say the love of my life is a women, and I shall be ASHAMED if “gay marriage” is not legalized due to closed minded arse’s that obviously don’t grasp the consept that love is love. The Bible has nothing and yet everything to do with the comsept of LGBTQ marriage. The Bible is a book, whether the book have importance or not to you means little to the fact that LGBTQ marriage should be legilized. Love is love, and no matter where you go, you will find a couple of two men or two women holding hands, or exchanging cute gestures of some type. Whether it be interpreted as bestfriends or lover’s, is YOUR choice.

I’ll be damned if by the time I can legally be tied to the one i love with a vow and a ring, married, that I cant walk down the isle due to the fact that we both have fucking sexton organs of the same, and would wear a dress.

Any inconsiderate, closeminded ass that cant see the fact that love is love should leave, or SHUT UP.

    K Bia.

Sorry – double post (darn computer errors). My reply was to Maggie Turpin. I also forgot to add one thing. Let us switch around the scenaro and have two female angels sent to Lot's house, instead of two male angels… people would rightfully assume that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah was actually about attempted gang rape, not homosexuality.

  6. Jordan says:

Actually, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because all of the people there wanted to sexually violate the two visitors/guests who just so happened to be male angels, and there was not 1 righteous person in the city - there is another passage in the bible somewhere which refers to 'going after strange flesh', which wasn't talking about homosexuality at all, it was talking about how 200 fallen angels came down and bred with female humans, which ultimately resulted in the strange flesh-like and ungodly creation that were the Nephilim (as mentioned in Genesis, as well as the book of Enoch).
But anyway back on topic, let us say that all of the men of Sodom were gay (Which is highly unlikely because in a world of 6+ billion people TODAY, not even Boystown in Chicago, or San Francisco has a 100% same-sex orientation population and they're much bigger than Sodom AND Gomorrah), why would Lot offer all these gay men two virgin DAUGHTERS? If facts serve me right, gay men aren't attracted to women, unless you didn't get that memo?
Sodom and Gomorrah is a story about wicked people who had no moral bone in their body. They were wicked people who sexually violated those who they felt threatened by. Nowhere was homosexuality mentioned in Sodom and Gomorrah, and if you want further proof, in Ezekial 16:49-50, it actually tells us what the sin of Sodom was (check for yourself if you don't believe me), and I quote:
"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."
This too, has no mention of homosexuality. Interesting, no? Also, the words 'Sodomy' and 'Sodomite' weren't coined until the 15th century, therefore, those words never used to mean any form of condemnation towards gays, just like how 'gay' used to mean 'happy', until it was changed sometimes in the 18th/19th century. You're more than welcome to do this research as I have done so myself. In fact here's a great sermon by Rob Buckingham which explains quite a bit. It is also available for free off iTunes Podcasts, under 'Bayside Church', episode: 'Real Christianity Is Accepting'

Let’s get one thing straight… People really need to read the Bible… It does not say it is a sin and Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed but it does not say exactly for what.. .Yes homosexuals were there but way more stuff was going on… Also if being gay is so bad why is King James still being read from…? He was gay but churched still read from the book that he wrote… Also I do not believe God will send me to hell for loving someone and it says to love everyone… Some people need to get there facts right… Abortion is in the Bible and stated as a sin but it is allowed but me being marriage to someone I love and want to spend the rest of my life with is not??? There are so many heterosexual marriages that fail every single day… They husband or wives cheat… Kids are abused… Studies show that homosexual families are better and are more lovable than heterosexual families… Remember…. It is not YOU to judge who we love… But only God…

I am a lesbian as well as a christain woman. I have read the Bible , and I'm pretty sure it says God loves everyone equally. All of the people that come to this website just to be rude to the lgbt community and be hurtful should be ashamed of themselves. If your so against it, then why on Earth are you on this page? You have no room to judge us, or anyone else for that matter.

I have lived in SC most of my life , and love the place…i have had more boyfriends than the law should allow. i am now and have been in a lesbian relationship for several years and found my true love.  we do love each other and we share a love that is out of this world.  WE WILL BE MARRIED SOON in DC , OUR STATE CAPITAL !!! Then come back home to SC…   So , SC.  if this is how we have to  do it, we will. Is the next step  kicking all of us GAY MARRIED COUPLES out of the state ? lol   Anyway, I think the law is selfish , and if it is for religious reasons why our state wants to be UNREASONABLE ,  I think the judgement isnt your place to do.. You can ban, but cant stop.. just like the more serious issues  , drugs, guns, crimes……just sayin

  13. Delilah Nix says:

I am a lesbian. I do not believe the right fight is being fought. I believe gay couples should be fighting to obtain the same legal rights as Christian married couples (i.e rights to property after death, etc) in the US through commitment ceremonies. I personally do not want to get married in a traditional Christian wedding because that particular religion, and frankly most, say to me that they do not accept me or who i love. But i do not feel as though just because i am not part of a religion means that me and my partners commitment to each other should not be recognized legally.
